Workshop 1: Barcelona Pavilion

Also known as the German Pavilion, this exhibition building is located in Barcelona, Spain. It demonstrates a modern approach to architecture. It's construction began in 1928 and was completed in 1929 and the building is renowned for its simplicity in structure, whilst being built from sophisticated materials such as marble and travertine.

Below are models of the Barcelona Pavilion, constructed from Balsa wood, perspex and aluminium foil. All models of the Barcelona Pavilion are at a scale of 1:200.
